The Liberalization Pilot which was launched on September 10, 2018, provides a unique opportunity for illegal public transportation providers to legitimize their operations.

The Authority is, therefore, urging illegal operators to become compliant with the law and ensure they legalize their services in order to avoid prosecution, as the Liberalization Pilot will end on November 30, 2018. Applicants are also being cautioned to conduct business directly with the Transport Authority and refrain from transacting business with individuals purporting to be agents of the Authority.
